Ecological Issues in Global Change
A computer-based laboratory in the application of ecological models to problems in evaluating the responses of terrestrial ecosystems to large scale environmental change. Laboratory exercises include: Introduction to ecological modeling techniques with population and compartment models, Markovian succession simulators, individual-based models of forest dynamics, wildfire models, and whole-canopy plant-process models. The laboratory is designed to parallel lecture material in EVEC 525 - Ecological Issues in Global Change.
